IAM Recognition for forces training

The IAM provides all current and former Service Personnel with the chance to gain retrospective academic recognition for their in-service training in order to continue their career development on leaving the services.

All Qualifications and Awards come with a formal certificate and 12 months free membership of the Institute at the appropriate level, recognising Professional Development and giving access to best practice information and membership benefits. Most applications for Qualifications and Awards cost £100.00, although some services have arrangements with the IAM where current students receive their award free of charge. Management Practice Awards

Formal certificates of an Award and 12 months free professional membership of the Institute can be granted based on courses undertaken and previous experience at the following levels:

Army

Royal Marines

We have recognised the following courses for the following IAM qualifications (Only applicable for candidates who have completed their recognised course before 30 June 2011):

Royal Air Force

The IAM recognise certain courses completed by members of the RAF Personnel (Support) Trade and Specialisation for the following Dual Award qualifications subject to successful completion of a Project (Only applicable for candidates who have completed their recognised course before 30 June 2011):
