The iam works in partnership with the The National College for School Leadership (NCSL) to offer the dual awards of the
Certificate of School Business Management (CSBM) together with the iam's Level 4 Diploma in Administative Management (DSBM) and the Diploma of School Business Management together with the iam's Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Administrative Management.
The NCSL exists to help to make a difference to the lives and the life chances of children and young people through the development of world-class school leaders.
The role of the School Business Manager is now widely recognised as being key to helping schools to make better use of their resources and facilities and to enable staff to find greater satisfaction in their work, through a renewed focus on teaching and learning. School Business Managers have a vital leadership role in this new culture for schools, in which creative thinking and influencing skills are as important as technical mastery of finance and administration systems.
The programme is delivered by three delivery partners: Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU), Serco Learning and the University of Lincoln. The Bursar Development programme (BDP) team is also delighted to work in partnership with us at the iam, as we provide third party professional body validation of the CSBM and DSBM programmes. This means that graduates of these programmes also receive the dual award of the iam Diploma or Advanced Diploma together with membership of the Institute.
