Current Personnel
For current Army personnel, we have recognised the following current Army courses for the following iam qualifications:
Level 2 Introductory Award in Administrative Management (Student Membership)
- Basic Military Admin Course
Level 3 Certificate in Administrative Management (Student Membership)
- Advanced Military Admin Course
- Education for Promotion 1
Level 4 Diploma in Administrative Management (Associate Membership, AInstAM)
- CLM as a WO
- Education for promotion 2
- Sgts Military Admin Course
Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Administrative Management (Full Membership, MInstAM)
- WO Military Admin Course (having previously completed the Sgts Military Admin Course)
For the Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma. A project report is also required.
Current Army personnel should contact Mike Farrell at the address below, who will provide project report guidance and have the completed report marked.
Candidates should then download the Application form below and return it to Mike along with their payment and documentary proof of course completion to be forwarded to the iam. The iam will then forward certificates of achievement directly to individuals.

Former Service Personnel
Individuals who have left the Army can also apply for restrospective academic recognition. We have recognised a range of Army courses for iam Awards in Management Practice.
Awards can be made based on courses undertaken and previous experience at the following levels:
Team Leader Award in Management Practice (Student Membership)
- Personnel who have completed the army EFP1, CLM (JNCO)
Certificate in Management Practice (Student Membership)
- Personnel who have completed the Army EFP2, CLM (SNCO)
Diploma in Management Practice (Associate Membership, AInstAM)
- Personnel who have completed the Army CLM (WO), RQMS course
Advanced Diploma in Management Practice (Full Membership, MInstAM)
- Personnel in the Writer, Clerks and Supply Administrators trades or who have completed the Army CLM (WO), RQMS course

If your qualification or course is not listed, please contact customer services and we will try to obtain a detailed course syllabus.
To gain retrospective academic recognition for your course, please:
1 Download and complete the application form below
2 Attach documentary evidence of your course/qualification
3 Attach the relevant sections of your PDR. Soldiers are required to submit completed copies of pages 6-2-3 Self-Assessment Exercise and 7-4-1 Training and Development Plan
4 Attach your current CV
5 Return the completed form, documentary evidence and your payment to the iam.
Your application will then be assessed and the relevant Award will be sent directly to you. Please note that if your application does not result in us being able to make an Award to you, an administration fee of £25 will be charged.
