New Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses, tailored specifically to meet the ever-changing needs of Institute of Administrative (iam) members, have been developed by the Open University.
Giving members the chance to extend and update their knowledge base, this new range of programmes can be studied at a time and a place to suit the individual.
The Open University has developed this series of open blended programmes to have a specific work based focus. Course topics include: managing performance through people, effective leadership skills, integrated software systems for IT professionals and applying strategic thinking.
It is our job to know and respond to the constantly changing skill needs of iam members. These multi-media courses offer our members an alternative way of meeting some of their CPD requirements. The courses can be studied anywhere in the world and are designed to fit in with busy home and work lives. Above all, application to work practice is built into course design and completion.
These new courses offer complete flexibility for individuals. Not only do they only require a total of 30 hours time commitment, they also offer access to expert tuition from a learning advisor and electronic forums to share knowledge with other students. All work is submitted electronically and personal expert feedback is provided and a certificate is issued as evidence of completion.
